The company was incorporated in Ghana on 3rd November 1988 and was registered as an Insurer by the National Insurance Commission on 26th February 1993 in accordance with PNDC Law 227 and commenced business on 1st March 1993.

Professor Ato Essuman, Chairman of Donewell Insurance Limited is a Professor of Education and Development and the founding Dean of the Faculty of Education and Entrepreneurship (FEE) of the Methodist University College Ghana. His experience in public service spans over three decades, serving as the Director of the Funds and Procurement Management Unit (FPMU) of the Ministry of Education, the Coordinator for Development Partners in education and later as the Chief Director of the Ministry.
He is serving a third term as a member of the Council of State of Ghana. His previous work experience with Nestlé, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and TechnoServe Incorporated as well as his varied personal entrepreneurial initiatives, has given him the base for good business orientation. He has served on many Boards and Councils, including governing boards and committees of institutions of the Methodist Church Ghana and of its committees at the Connexional level.
Professor Ato Essuman is a past Lay President of the Methodist Church Ghana. On the 26th of March 2021 he was elected as the 20th Chairman of the West African Examinations Council for a three-year term which ends in 2024.
Siisi Crentsil is a business executive with extensive holdings and involvement in diverse business enterprises. He holds a First degree as well as a Master’s degree in Business Management. He is the Board Chairman for Broadview Trust Limited where he leads the overall strategic direction and focus for the company in fulfilling its core mandate as a licensed corporate trustee.
He is also responsible for the overall strategic planning, policy development and asset management of the company. He is currently the Managing Director of USICO Limited, SE-IMPEX Limited and SMK Impex Limited. He has also served on several boards in his career with some notable companies like Worldwide Consulting Partners, Forestry Commission and Ghana Road Fund.
Afua Konadu Mensah is an experienced business operations professional with over 12 years working experience spanning across industries including Banking, Digital transformation, and Telecommunications (Fiber Optics and Fintech). She has worked in various multinationals Including General Electric, Google, CSquared, and MTN in capacities as Commercial Operations Manager, Business Manager and Fintech Operations Manager.
Prior to joining MTN Mobile Money Limited as Fintech Operations Manager primarily responsible for managing and executing operational projects within the division, Afua worked as a Commercial Operations Manager for Google and CSquared where she worked with various stakeholders to formulate commercial proposals and appraise new products.
As a Business Manager at General Electric (GE) for the Digital, Gas and Power businesses, Afua was involved in driving the strategy, planning, and coordinating resources for various projects. She as well managed General Electric’s strategic relationships with government agencies and stakeholders.
Afua has experience in the banking sector, having worked with Barclays bank (Now Absa), Fidelity and Stanbic banks in various capacities in the areas of banking operations, sales, and relationship management.
She is currently the Deputy Head for Corporate Affairs and External Relations at the Minerals Income Investment Fund, a sovereign world Fund and is responsible for establishing the strategy and policy direction for internal and external communications as well as corporate relations of the Fund. As deputy head of corporate Affairs, Afua also provides an oversight to develop strategy and programs for the Funds corporate social responsibility activities. In addition to providing stakeholder management and external relations to corporate organisations and other stakeholders.
She holds a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from the University of South Wales (UK) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
She also holds a Certificate in Professional Project Management from the Project Management Institute, Ghana
Prof. Kwame Adom-Frimpong is a graduate of the University of Wales, Bangor, UK (MBA) and the University of London (LLB) and De Montford University, Leicester (LLM). He obtained his Doctorate degree in Business Administration (DBA-Finance option) in 2001 from University for Professional Studies, Arcadia, USA and again had PhD in Economics Finance from the same University in 2004.
He is an Adjunct Professor in Finance at the University of Ghana Business School He is also a visiting Professor of Irish University Business School in charge of MBA Projects for students in West Africa. Again he is a visiting Professor of Entrepreneurial University Business School of Costa Rica and Ghana Baptist University College, Kumasi. He was an adjunct lecturer from 2004 to 2018 at GIMPA.
Prof. Adom-Frimpong is currently the Managing Director of Mainstream Reinsurance Company. He worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for five years as Audit Supervisor, five years with SSNIT as Head of Audit and ABC Brewery Company as Senior Cost and Management Accountant for four years.
Prof. Adom-Frimpong qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990, and also qualified as a Chartered Banker (FCIB) in 2002. He is the immediate President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA-Ghana) and also the immediate past President of the Association of Accountancy bodies in West Africa. He is a fellow member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana. He is again a qualified Lawyer and Barrister of Law with qualifications obtained from the Ghana School of Law. He is a Member of the Ghana Bar Association and a Fellow Member of the Ghana Institute of Taxation.
Anthony Forson has over 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney and is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Ghana as well as a Barrister at Law.
He is currently the Lead Consultant at the Accra, Ghana-based law firm T. Forson & Co.
In 1996, Mr. Forson graduated from the Ghana School of Law. He graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy and a Diploma in Education. In 1989, he served as Vice President of Atlantic Hall. He served as the National President of the Ghana Bar Association till November 1, 2021.
In the Consultative Assembly, which reviewed amendments to the 1992 Constitution, he was the youngest member. At the time, he was a representative of the National Service Personnel Association. Additionally, he was a member of the Committee of Five, which was formed from the Consultative Assembly members to condense the Constitution for the National Referendum intended to approve the 1992 Constitution.
Before founding T. Forson & Co., Mr. Forson spent nine years gaining legal experience at the company of Tetteh & Co. In addition to being an assistant lecturer in family law at the Ghana School of Law in 2012, he lectured in media law at the Ghana Institute of Journalism for 11 years.
Anthony Forson was a member of a group of three senior defense attorneys in Ghana's largest business lawsuit regarding the sale of the shares in MTN in Ghana. He is a consultant who has provided guidance to the Ministry of Tourism on a number of subjects and is involved in the writing of regulations and training of immigration employees. He also serves as one of the top counsel for the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, which defends the business interests of all Ghanaian mobile operators.
Tony Forson has served as the counsel for Multichoice Ghana Ltd. for more than 17 years as well as Emirates Airlines, Airtel Ghana Ltd., and KAAF University. He also served on the Mfantsipim School Board of Governors in Cape Coast, Ghana.
He serves as a member of the Ghanaian Board of Lands Commission and a Member of the Ghana Bar Association's Board of the Council for Law Reporting. He served as the Chairman of the recent Committee that looked into unauthorized admissions to the Ghana School of Law and is a former member of the General Legal Council.
Former Legal Aid Board member Tony Forson served as the General Legal Council's representative and is a member of the Judicial Council. He represents the Ghana Bar Association on the Council of the International Bar Association (The Global Voice of the Legal Profession). He participates in the Constitution Review Committee and the General Legal Council's Disciplinary Committee.
Dr. Bediako is a Senior ICT/ Management Consultant with over twenty-five (25) years of extensive experience. With a unique combination of technical and leadership skills, Dr. Bediako has made significant contributions to both industry and academia in the United States of America and Ghana. His past employers include MCI/WorldCom Telecommunications, Northern Virginia Community College, GIMPA, Ghana Telecom/Vodafone, Ghana Communications Technology University (GCTU) and National Information Technology Agency (NITA). He works for 25th Century Technology Limited as the director of operations.
As an ICT professional, Dr. Bediako has worked on digital policies, directed e-Government projects as well as designed Enterprise Architecture frameworks for Governments and organizations to be competitive in the digital economy. His contributions to public and private institutions include defining Information Technology Governance Frameworks (ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001), design of Wide Area Networks (WANs), Data Center Architectures, Strategic ICT formulation and implementation, ICT policy development and implementation, design & implementation of enterprise systems and Managing ICT projects. Other areas include cyber security, digital identity management, data protection, e-leadership training, cloud policy, ICT infrastructure management and telecom traffic monitoring.
Currently, Dr. Bediako is the module leader of the GCTU/ Coventry University project management course, a position he has held for more than 8 years. His advanced excel training has helped organizations to improve on corporate reporting and decision-making, detection of fraudulent transactions in corporate data, data analysis, modeling and simulation. He is a strong proponent of business process re-engineering and automating business processes for efficiency and transparency.
Dr. George Ben Crentsil graduated from Kharkov Medical School in the then Soviet Union in June 1989.
He specialized in 1998 at West African College of Surgeons and has since worked in various hospitals namely, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, La General Hospital (recognized as first Head of Anesthesia) in the periods of 2001 to 2008 all in the Greater Accra Region.
Dr. George Ben Crentsil was the UN Consultant for Anesthesia-Buruli Ulcer International Program in the year 2004 and was also the Resource Person for World Health Organization (W.H.O) buruli Ulcer International Program held in Agogo (Ghana) and Yaounde Camerron in the year 2005.
He was appointed Executive Director of Ghana Standards Authority from January 2010 to January 2017.
He is currently consulting for the University of Ghana Medical Centre Accra, Sweden Ghana Medical Center Accra and International Maritime Hospital, Tema.
He was lecturer and examiner at the 37 Military Hospital (School of Anesthesia) and was the founder of the school of anesthesia at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital. He also worked there from 2019 to 2022.
Dr. George Ben Crentsil is rich in issues of corporate governance due to his successful working experience. He is married and a devoted Christian.
