Seth Aklasi is a Chartered Insurer with a proven track record in the Ghanaian insurance sector. His insurance career spans a little under 2 decades during which time he has developed and built capacity in General Insurance Operations, Ethical Underwriting, Claims Administration, Reinsurance, High level Marketing and Specialist Energy Underwriting.
His insurance career started at Enterprise Insurance Company Ghana Limited in 2000 where he assumed the responsibility of a Motor Underwriter and later a Client Relations officer. In 2008 he joined International Energy Insurance Ghana Limited as a Deputy Manager and rose through the ranks to become the Chief Operations Officer. He led corporate initiatives that focused on pricing, product development, reinsurance and pursued alliances and growth opportunities that enlarged the company’s client base. Whilst Head of the Energy Group, he was able to grow it to the highest Producing Business unit for the Company. Prior to joining Donewell Insurance Limited, he briefly served as the Managing Director of Priority Insurance Company Limited.
Seth earned a BA Social Science (Geography) from University of Cape Coast in 1999 and an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from Cass Business School, London in 2007. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) London and has participated extensively in insurance and risk management seminars both locally and internationally.
Joann Ofori holds an M.Phil in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana Legon, Certificate in Human Resource Management and Certificate in Strategic Planning & Management all from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Prior to her joining Donewell as Head, Administration and HR, she worked as the Executive Director of Youth and Women Foundation, an NGO, while doubling as the National Coordinator for Ghana Women Land Access Trust (GAWLAT) - an affiliate NGO of UN-Habitat. Joann, a project and procurement management expert has over the past ten years, been involved with the management of donor funded projects. She has attended several training programmes both locally and internationally in HR, Management and Development issues. She is also a member of Institute of Directors (Ghana).
Mr. Asare-Nyako is the Chief Finance Officer of the Institution. He comes with a rich background of Accountancy and Insurance. Before joining Donewell, he developed his accountancy career with Pannell Kerr Foster (PKF) and left as an Audit Senior to join Quality Insurance Company and later Quality Life Assurance Company Limited.
With a total of eleven (11) years experience as an Accounts Manager and Head of Internal Audit, Mr. Asare-Nyako also holds a BSc. Degree in Biological Sciences. He is a Fellow of ACCA and a member of CA Ghana.
Jennifer joined Donewell Insurance in 2012 as the Marketing and Business Development Manager. Prior to that she worked at CDH Insurance Company now NSIA Ghana. She is a chartered Insurer from the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), a qualified member of the Association of Business Executives (UK) with an Advanced Diploma in Administration (Marketing Option).
She is currently working on attaining an MBA (General Management Option) She has attended various courses in underwriting, claims handling, reinsurance, and customer relationship management and has over ten years experience in the Insurance Industry
