Esther Lily Nkansah | Director

Mrs. Nkansah attained a Chartered status of the Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1996. She has about thirty (30) years of experience in the insurance industry and spent most with SIC Insurance. She was the Area Manager for Western and Central SIC Insurance between 1987 and 1997. She was elected fellow of the Insurance Institute of Ghana in 1985 and a member of the Governing Council of the Insurance Institute in Ghana in 1980.

During the period spanning 1979 through to 1990, she undertook various courses in management at GIMPA and MDPI, all in Ghana. On the national level, Mrs. Nkansah was appointed the Western Regional Minster from 1997-2000. She further held membership on some boards notably Bank of Ghana, African Timber and Plywood ,Golden Beach Resorts just to mention a few. She is currently a member of the Board of the Methodist University College and the Lay Chairperson designate of the Methodist Church, Sekondi Diocese.

Dr. Ato Essuman| Director

Dr. Ato Essuman holds a Doctoral Degree in Education from the University of Sussex, UK, an MBA (Operations Management) from the University of Hawaii, and a BA degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is a member of the British Association for International and Cooperative Education (BAICE), The American Management Association (AMA), the Ghana Institute of Management (GIM) and the International Industrial Relations Association (IIRA).

He began his working career with Coopers and Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) from1980 to 1984 and later joined Technoservre Incorporated as Business and Financial Advisor. He joined Nestle Ghana Limited in 1985 and served in many capacities in the management accounts, internal audit and human resource and public affairs departments. Between 1993 and 1996 he was seconded to the Nestle (International) Productivity Team as a Productivity Engineer where he carried out operations improvement projects, diagnostic reviews and rightsizing assignments in some Nestle companies around the globe.

Mohammed Yakubu | Director

Mr. Yakubu is the Chief Executive Officer of CAL Asset Management Company Limited (CAM), having worked with CAL Brokers Limited (CBL) as CAL Asset Management Operations Manager from 1997 - 2004. He also worked with Strategic African Securities Limite(SAS), from 1994 – 1997 as a Manager in charge of Trading and Research. He managed a portfolio of investments totaling $2.3 million in various financial Instruments and served as Operations Manager of CAL Brokers Limited and Chief Dealer at the National Trust Holding Company limited (NTHC). He acted as a consultant in the establishment of Global Securities Limited in Accra and served as the Vice President of the Association of Licensed Stockbrokers from 1997 to 2000 and a substitute member of the Ghana Stock Exchange Council for the same period.

 Mr. Mohammed Yakubu holds a BSc in Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. He acted as a consultant in the establishment of Global Securities Limited in Accra and served as the Vice President of the Ghana Association of Licensed Stock Brokers between1997-2000. He is also a member of the board of GhanaRE and CAL Asset Management Company Limited. He worked with CAL Asset Management Company Ltd as a Director where he managed the day to day operations of the CAM in addition to coordinating CAM’s marketing activities. 

Major Daniel Ablorh-Quarcoo(Rtd) | Director

Major Daniel Ablorh-Quarcoo (Rtd) is a management accountant and serves on the council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana. From 2006 to 2009, he served as the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of Ghana. He assisted five other African countries in establishing the African Tax Administration Forum and helped to prepare the IRS for the commercial production of oil by setting up the Petroleum Unit. 

Prior to joining the IRS, he served for 10 years 1994 – 2004 as Director of Finance for the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), building on 6 previous years’ experience as Management Accountant with the same Company. He also served for 11 years as a Paymaster with the Ghana Armed Forces. 

He has a degree from the University of Ghana Business School, and currently manages his own Cocoa processing Company; Allied Cocoa Products Ltd. Major Ablorh-Quarcoo (Rtd.) is the Chairman of Public Interest & Accountability Committee (PIAC) and also chairs the Technical Sub-Committee of PIAC. 

As the chief spokesperson, he has represented the Committee at various workshops, seminars and conferences countrywide including a conference in Tanzania, in Rwanda and a meeting with the World Bank in Washington DC.

Dr. Francis Ato Conduah, Esq. | Director

F. Ato Conduah brings to Donewell Insurance Company Limited Board sixteen (16) years of international and local work/consulting experience in senior management positions. He is a strategic problem solver, critical thinker, marketing, media communications, management strategy and training. Dr. Ato Conduah has been the CEO/Lead Consultant of Ato Conduah & Associates (ACA) Group, a six-sigma management, strategy financial marketing, and media communications consulting practice since 2000.

He worked as Development Communications Consultant to the Ministry of Public Sector Reform (2008-2009); Director of Development, Lincoln Community School (US Embassy), Accra (2006-2007): Lecturer in Marketing, Business Communications and Research at GIMPA (2003); Adjunct Lecturer in Business Negotiations at the University College of Entrepreneurship, Accra (2005-2008); Independent Management & Marketing Consultant, Milton Keynes (2001-2003); Marketing Manager for Checksun (UK) Ltd London (1999-2001); Marketing Manager, Morgan Stanley Investments, London (1997-1999); Advertising Manager, Media World Inc. London (1995-1996); and District Public Education Officer, NCCE (1994-1995). Dr. Ato Conduah holds MA in Marketing Communications from University of Westminster Business School, London; MA in

International Studies from University of Leeds; and BA (Hons), Dip.Ed. University of Cape Coast. As USIA/YALE Fellow in 1994, he received executive education in investment economics and management science at Harvard University Business School; Journalism and Strategic Communications at Columbia University; Conflict Resolution at the United Nations; and Educational Reform at UCLA, USC, CUNY, University of Michigan and Indiana University (USA). He holds a PhD degree in Marketing from Commonwealth Open University, BVI-UK, and has completed an LL.B (Hons) degree from the Faculty of Law University of Ghana, Legon.

Dr. Ato Conduah Esq. is a well-known Publicist and Consultant who has worked on numerous international consulting and training assignments for the UN, World Bank, IDA, UNDP APDF/IFC, DFID, EU, multinational client and NGO's. He serves on the Boards of four Companies in Accra, and is a professional member of IPR-Ghana, CIM, GJA, CIMgt and the Association of Certified Entrepreneurs. He is a fellow of IMANI-a policy think-tank in Accra. Dr.Ato Conduah was elected to the Board of Donewell Insurance Company Limited in 2010.
