Professor Ato Essuman, Chairman of the Board, is the Director of the Institute of Education and Entrepreneurship (IEE) at the Methodist University College Ghana. He is an accomplished public servant and a leading voice in education in Ghana. He was a former Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, a former Lay President of the Methodist Church Ghana and a former two-term member of the Council of State. Professor Essuman’s previous work experience in the private sector working with leading firms such as Nestlé, Coopers and Lybrand, Technoserve Incorporated as well as his varied personal entrepreneurial initiatives, has given him the base for good business orientation and provide real world insights on the challenges of driving strategic change.Prof. Essuman holds a doctoral degree in Education from the University of Sussex, UK, an MBA (Operations Management) from the University of Hawaii, and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Major Daniel Ablorh-Quarcoo (Rtd) is a management accountant and serves on the council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana. From 2006 to 2009, he served as the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of Ghana. He assisted five other African countries in establishing the African Tax Administration Forum and helped to prepare the IRS for the commercial production of oil by setting up the Petroleum Unit.
Prior to joining the IRS, he served for 10 years 1994 – 2004 as Director of Finance for the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), building on 6 previous years’ experience as Management Accountant with the same Company. He also served for 11 years as a Paymaster with the Ghana Armed Forces.
He has a degree from the University of Ghana Business School, and currently manages his own Cocoa processing Company; Allied Cocoa Products Ltd. Major Ablorh-Quarcoo (Rtd.) is the Chairman of Public Interest & Accountability Committee (PIAC) and also chairs the Technical Sub-Committee of PIAC.
As the chief spokesperson, he has represented the Committee at various workshops, seminars and conferences countrywide including a conference in Tanzania, in Rwanda and a meeting with the World Bank in Washington DC.
Dr. Francis Ato Conduah, Esq., is the Lead Consultant at ACA Consulting, and Everest Consulting Plc. He has 24 years international and local work experience as certified trainer, publicist, management, strategy, marketing communications, social performance, and institutional reform consultant. In 1994 participated in the USIA/YALI-International Visitor Leadership Fellowship in selected universities in the USA. He has lectured at GIMPA, University College for Entrepreneurship, and Adjunct Faculty at KNUST Business School for about 10 years. He has provided consulting/training services to organizations for 15 fifteen years in Ghana, and is a retained consultant to companies.
Dr. F. Ato Conduah, trained at University of Cape Coast, University of Leeds, University of Westminster Business School-London, University of Ghana Faculty of Law, and Ghana School of Law. He studied for a research PhD degree in Marketing from Commonwealth Open University, Lugones-Asturias, Spain. He is a practising solicitor of the superior courts, and a barrister-at-law at Dehyena Chambers in Accra. He is a professional member of the Institute of Public Relations-Ghana, Ghana Journalists’ Association, Institute of Directors-Ghana, and the Ghana Bar Association. He advises on corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, serves as a Director of 3 companies in Ghana.
Mrs. Abiola Bawuah is the MD/CEO of UBA Ghana with enormous experience in retail banking and marketing. In 2013, she left Zenith Bank; where she was the Executive Director; having previously held the positions of the General Manager, Marketing and Group Head, Retail Banking; and joined UBA Ghana as Deputy Managing Director the same year. Mrs. Bawuah also worked with Standard Chartered Bank as the Head of Sales; with CAL Bank as Relationship Manager; Strategic African Securities as an authorized dealing broker and with the then Bentsi-Enchi and Letsa; now Bentsi-Enchil, Letsa and Ankomah law firm as an investment officer. Mrs. Bawuah holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, an LLB from the University of London, a diploma in Marketing from GIMPA and EMBA (Finance) from the University of Ghana. She also has numerous leadership qualifications from Harvard Business School, Columbia, University of New York, INSEAD and Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Switzerland.
Mr. Charles Fritz Kofi VanDyck has over 35 years of experience working as a Marketing Professional and an Economic Planner. He started his career as a Marketing/Administrative Manager with Atlantic Ribbons and Adhesives Ltd, Accra from 1977-1979. He was a lecturer at Cosmopolitan College in Lagos, Nigeria as well as a part-time marketing consultant with Obare and Co. and Head of Marketing, Purchasing & Supply department, Polytechnic of Sokoto State, Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria. He also lectured briefly at the Takoradi Polytechnic fro 1984-85 before joining the Ministry of Commerce & Industry in Botswana as the Principal Industrial Officer for Francistown City Council in North East District Council from 1991-1997. He holds an HND in Business Studies from the South West College in England, a Diploma in Marketing & Administrative Management and a post-graduate diploma in Industrial Administration from the University of Greenwich. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the British Institute of Administrative Management and the British Institute of Management. He has several business interests in Tarkwa and is currently the Edina chief of Wassa land enstooled by the Omanehene of the Edina Traditional Council in 2007 with the stool name Nana Kofi VanDyck.
Mr. Larry Kwesi Jiagge Esq. is a product of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi- Ghana, The Ghana School of Law, The West Africa Insurance Institute and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He is a Barrister-at-Law, a Chartered Insurance Institute of London (FCII). His Insurance Professional Life started in 1984 with SIC Insurance Co. Ltd. He subsequently worked with Metropolitan Insurance Co. Ltd. and NSIA Gh. Insurance CO. Ltd., where he was appointed MD in 2005. He presently works with Risk Management and Advisory Services Ltd., a company founded in 2010 to provision of insurance services and consultancy. He has vast experience in various facets of insurance practice. A stickler for best corporate governance, Larry presently serves on a number of governing Boards – including Donewell Insurance Co. Ltd., Community Microfinance Co. Ltd. and ARB – Apex Bank Ltd. He is also the past member of the Board of CDH Life Assurance Co. Ltd. Professional Bodies and Associations he has been involved include:- WAICA Executive Committee, ECOWAS Council of Bureaux (Chairman), Ghana National Bureaux ECOWAS Brown Card, (Chairman), Ghana Insurers Association – (Executive Committee), Committee of Review Draft Insurance Bill (Chairman). He is an active Rotarian and a past President of the Rotary Club of Accra South.
